Epoxy flooring

We turn concrete into a seamless, easy-to-clean floor with an epoxy system chosen for the load, cleaning needs and look you require.

Grey epoxy floor running the full length of a warehouse with blue steel columns

Epoxy flooring is a two-component, resin-based coating applied over concrete or a properly prepared existing floor. With correct surface preparation it gives a seamless, dust-free surface that is easy to clean.

There is no single “right epoxy” for every space. A warehouse with forklift traffic, a busy showroom and a production area that needs slip resistance all call for different systems. That is why we start by inspecting the floor on site and choose the right system together with you.

Which epoxy system suits which space?

Our main systems are thin-film epoxy floor paint, orange-peel epoxy with a textured finish, self-leveling epoxy for a smooth, glossy surface, decorative marble-effect epoxy and speckled flake (chip) epoxy. For a natural concrete look we also apply cement-based microcement. The choice depends on the condition of the floor, how the space is used, the look you want and your budget.

Concrete floor coating and epoxy floor renovation

On newly poured concrete, application is planned once the concrete has reached sufficient dryness and strength. On worn or damaged epoxy floors, we first assess the existing coating: in suitable cases the surface is sanded and recoated, in others the old coating has to be removed.

Industrial epoxy flooring

Floors in warehouses, production areas and workshops face wheeled traffic, dropped materials, oil and chemical contact. In these spaces, walkways, safety stripes and area markings can be planned in the same project as the coating.

Questions about epoxy flooring

All questions

What is epoxy flooring?

A two-component, resin-based coating applied to concrete or properly prepared floors. It creates a seamless, dust-free surface that is easy to clean. Systems include thin-film paint, textured orange-peel and smooth self-leveling epoxy.

Where is epoxy flooring used?

Warehouses, factories and production areas, car service centres and workshops, car parks, showrooms, shops and commercial spaces are the most common uses. The system is chosen according to how the space is used.

How is the floor prepared before application?

The moisture, soundness and contamination of the floor are assessed. The surface is opened up by grinding or another mechanical method, dust is removed, cracks and voids are repaired and a primer is applied. Surface preparation directly affects how well the coating bonds.

Can a new coating be applied over old epoxy or painted floors?

If the existing coating is well bonded, it can be sanded, cleaned and recoated in suitable cases. Blistered, peeling or weak coatings must be removed first. The decision is made after inspecting the floor on site.

What determines the price of epoxy flooring?

The size of the area, the current condition of the floor and the preparation required, the system and number of coats, colour and line marking needs, access to the site and the schedule are the main factors. You can find average price ranges per m² on our price page; for a firm price we need to see the floor or receive photos and measurements.
